Interior Designer in Weston, MA
Weston is a town that rewards slowing down. The houses sit on real land that is often set back from the road, and the interiors are rooms you actually live in rather than pass through; libraries that get read in, kitchens that host, bedrooms that offer a quiet space during a hectic week. The pleasure of a well-done Weston home is in the layering: the texture of a rug underfoot, a bookshelf that looks collected rather than styled.
I'm Amalia, a certified interior design and decorating professional based nearby in Waltham. I work with Weston homeowners on rooms that feel warm, layered, and lived-in. Not showrooms, not minimalist, just thoughtful decisions that come together to make a home that reflects the people who live in it.
HOW I WORK IN WESTON
Everything is hourly, which means the scope is up to you. Some Weston clients bring me in for full-service design — space planning, furniture, window treatments, lighting, art, and installation, start to finish. Others want something narrower: a color consultation before the painters arrive, help choosing finishes for a kitchen or bath renovation, or a single afternoon reworking a room that has never quite come together.
Being nearby in Waltham matters more than people expect. I can stop by to check a paint sample in afternoon light, meet your contractor on site, or be there the day the sofa arrives.
A RECENT WESTON PROJECT
This room had good bones and pieces the owner already loved, but it wasn’t adding up to anything. She wanted it to actually do the things it was being asked to do and was ready to start from scratch: a cozy spot by the fire, a place to sit and talk, a reading nook, and a tucked-in home office in the back corner. The brief was calm — natural colors, nothing loud, a room that felt steady. We zoned the room into the necessary sections without walling any of them off, and let a quiet, layered palette do the rest. See the full Weston project in the portfolio.
